My interview experience of Lecturer Chemistry BPS-17 SPSC

 

This interview was held on 13_th of April 2023 at Sindh Public Service Commission office Karachi.

Interview panel consisted of following three members :

1. Sohail Ahmed Memon (Subject Specialist)

2. Abdul Malik ( Chairman Interview Committee)

3. Qazi Shahid Masood ( GK Specialist )

1. Firstly, I was asked to draw periodic table

2. I was asked for a demo on “ What are the environmental challenges faced by      Pakistan”?

3. Write down the sulphonation reaction of benzene.

4. Write down the chemical reaction of Phenyl Hydrazine with formaldehyde.

5. What is oleum?

6. What is the difference between oleum and fuming sulphuric acid?

7. What is naphtha?

8. What is char coal ?

9. What is ACTIVATED CHAR COAL? 

10.  How many essential elements are there for life?

11. What is LPG?

12. Lighter contains which type of gas?

13. The element with the highest oxidation state?

14. Oxidation states of manganese and chromium?

15. What is ferromagnetism,paramagnetism and Diamagnetism?

 

After these questions GK expert ( Abdul Malik ) asked me the following questions.

 

Q. 16 The largest research lab in the world.

Q. 17 What do you know about Alfred Noble?

Q. 18 In which year  Noble prize was started?

Q. 19 Name any three living scientists?

Q. 20 Who was Madam Curie?

Q. 21 Which element was discovered by her?
